Background of Blog

The background of my blog is a photo I took when i was roaming the streets of london at night.  Whilst I was walking a white wool coat caught my attention, after being drawn in by that peice I looked at her whole outfit and it really portrayed a statement.  Lucky enough i was taking strret snaps for a Clothing brand at the time, so my camera was already set and ready to go.  So whilst she walked away, I quickly got a snapshot from behind.  I think it represents the diversity of cultures and influence within London.  You can look left and see a different type of style reflecting different cultures.  In addition the different colours coming from the shops empahsise my point of diversity, as there are a combination of colours.

About me

My name is Louis Liburd, I am an A level student that loves to create.  I am passionate about creating a production that portrays an emotion, changing the perceptions of the audience.  I am really inspired by the use of lighting within music videos, as I believe that this really helps to elevate and expand the effect of a song.  Outside of this school project, I'm currently doing photography for an upcoming clothing brand.  I enjoy the whole culture of fashion and photography, the genre itself has pushed me to constantly break past boundaries and limits we place upon ourselves.  I love how a moving or still image reflects the creator's emotions at the time.  It is a way of expression towards people worldwide.  However Art changes in the eyes of the beholder, it is subjective and based on perception.  That is the beauty of moving and still images, you may force a feeling amongst the audience.  However, the chance of the audience feeling exactly the same emotion is highly unlikely.

LT PRODUCTIONS


Our production company name is simply the beginning of both partners first name.  My name is Louis and my business partner whom I'm shooting this music video with is called Tyler.  In order to make it fair and effective, I combined the first letter of our names.  Thus creating LT PRODUCTIONS, this is simple and easy to remember.

Experience

Outside of school I realised that in order to be a better camera man i need to be able to understand the role of being infront of the camera a little bit more.  When shooting the camera man / director has to communicate with the model within the shoot,  to ensure that finished product comes out right.  So to gain this experience i modelled for the brand Gutinstinkt, they specialise in designer belts.  The whole expereince was amazing being on set the cameraman and director made me feel comfortable.  Making sure i did nothing i dodnt want to do on set.  From this i realised that comforbaility is the most important factor when interacting with the models. As you need the acting and images to look natural catoring to your audience.

In addition i worked as a runner on set for the Nevs models "new Faces shoot, from this i learnt a feew tricks to create effects on film.  For example they traacked the times the sun would appear and set up in the spot which had the most sun light.  enalbling them to create the best picture for the shoot.

Lighting

Lighting is a really important factor for my music video.  As I believe that lighting is able to determine and influence the mood of a music video.  For example dark low key lighting tends to be more associated with depression and deep and emotions that people tend to view negatively.  These create feelings of reminiscence, sadness, sorrow and pity.  Where as high key lighting creates a sense of joy and happiness.  In our music video we want to show the couple in love, so too create this feeling well use high key lighting.  This brightness will create a sense of happiness and joy enabling the audience to either relate or crave this feeling.  Hopefully this sense of feeling will cause the audience to always come back to this video.  Within our music video the couple have a huge argument at home.  Too create this sense of anger and I want to create a form of red light to set the mood of this scene.  So this contrast between high key lighting and low key red lighting will contrast the different feelings people under go when in love.
